Requirements for registration- Invest for children, registered at Registre de Fundacions of the Generalitat de Catalunya with number 2112, and whose main headquarter is in Barcelona/Spain organizes the 1st DOWN TV Short Film Festival on Down Syndrome at the website www.downtv.org.
- To submit your film means the acceptance of all these regulations.
- Any adult can participate in the DOWN TV Short Film Festival.
- Each participant can submit just 1 film.
- All videos uploaded after the registration deadline will not participate in the Short Film Festival.
- The contestants must guarantee they have legal possession of the copyright of the work, including those indirectly related to it.
- All animation techniques are accepted (3D, 2D, stopmotion…) and all genres.
- The Works must be uploaded at www.downtv.org and be tagged as “Film Festival”.
- The registration deadline is November 30th 2010 and there is no registration fee.
- The Works will be published at www.downtv.org with the only purpose of their promotion. They will be at disposal of the users of the website, who can watch them and share them with other users or on social media websites.
- The Organization of the Film Festival has the right to rule out any video whose subject is not the required for this Film Festival. Also, the organization has the right to decide on any matter that could come out and that is not present in these regulations.
- The Organization has the right to organize non lucrative Special Sessions to promote the short films submitted. So, the author/director of the video must grant non-exclusivity and free rights of their work to the Organization of the Film Festival, to spread their work in any media. This should be in a non lucrative way and with the objective to spread the values for which it was created.
- All the short films will appear with the information of the director, producer or wholesaler as appropriate.
- All the participants who may need more information should write an email at downtv@investforchildren.org
- The jury will be integrated by the trustees of Invest for children, who will decide which will be the winning video. The jury will establish in their first meeting the evaluation criteria for the videos submitted. In any case, the story, creativity, originality and the message transmitted will be taken into consideration.
- The result will be published at www.downtv.org on 15th December 2010.
- There is only one prize of 1,000 euros to the winning film. In case of being the winner, the Organization will contact him or her through the data offered. If in 5 days any communication would not be possible, the jury will decide if giving the prize to the second best film or, if donating the amount to a future contest or other social projects.
- How to upload videos: The films must be uploaded first to Youtube or Vimeo. The code “embed” of each video in the site where it has been uploaded must be copied and pasted at the tag “Copy embed code” on the page “Publish Videos” at www.downtv.org.
In accordance with Law 15/1999, of December 13, on Protection of Personal Data, Invest For Children communicates participants that the data provided for the Participation in this competition and and that are considered as personal data, will be included in a data base file, except if otherwise specified in the particular paragraph. This file meets with all legal requirements.
Users give their consent to offer the data provided to the collaborators of Invest for Children if necessary for the development of selection process or posterior activities.
The participant has the right to access, modify, opposite and cancelate his or her personal data in accordance with the Organic Law of Protection of Personal Data (15/1999) by writing, enclosing a copy of his or her ID card or passport to Invest for Children.
